Varifocals & migraines?

I went to the Dr the other week, having had my 2nd migraine in the matter of 3 weeks. He checked blood pressure and was happy with that, but suggested I get my eyes tested (I work with a computer screen all day at work, and much of my leisure time is spent here too). Update - after seeing the optician yesterday, he has agreed I am one of the 'one or two a year' that he sees who physically can not wear varifocals! Apparently the pain I was experiencing in my face and nose indicate this........

They have allowed me to choose new frames from the £40 range, and are giving me anti glare coatings on both sets.

Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.
