Hi Iceman
Are you hoping that because you didn't sign an agreement that you won't have to repay the debt?
Potentially the fact that there is no signed credit agreement may mean that the catalogue company cannot take you to court to enforce the agreement. Even if this is the case they are still likely to chase you for payment and to report to your credit file.
When did you open your account?
You could look at this thread if you account was opened before April 2007.

I assume you are not disputing that you did purchase and receive the items on the account?
If you are just asking because you have fallen behind with your payments then why not write out a detailed income & expenditure account and see how much you can afford to repay after priority costs and essentials (but not including luxuries) then if you can afford more than the minimum write to your catalogue company proposing a new repayment plan to pay your future repayments and pay off the arrears that have built up.
If you have more significant debt problems you could speak to one of the free debt advice charities about what options are available to you (such as a debt management plan -asking your creditors to accept reduced payments)A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

It will depend on their T&Cs but potentially they can charge you for the cost of recovering the debt.
That's why it's best to talk to the company and come to an arrangement if you can.0
