    Morning all

I'm off today as FiL's op, thanks tooch, dusty, soappie and others for remembering. We're taking MiL over to see him in a couple of hours, op is this afternoon. I think we'll drive her there, pop in and say hi to FiL and then come back for a few hours to get our stuff sorted for hols (going tomorrow), then go back later to pick her up. Did offer to stay with her but she didn't seem to think it necessary. we'll see how we feel when we get there, i wouldn't be surprised if DH wants to stay.

The flat is mainly fine, I want to change the bed either today or in the morning before we go, and do another load of washing so all my work cardigans etc are clean for when we get back. A bit of a list might be helpful:

    before hols list:
bathroom - sink, loo, shelf, bath, floor, mirrors, windowsill
    sort work bag
    empty bins
    update new diary
    water plants
    change bed
pack - clothes, walking stuff, camera, laptop, DVDs, games, books & maps, phone chargers, wash stuff, flask, water bottles
holiday settings on book swap site
    renew lib books
print map & directions for hols
    find supermarket for holidays
    wm - clothes, towels, bedding

well no flying for me today im afraid. I started my new job today, and was going to start after dinner, however, I took a walk down to the shop and somehow, ive done my knee in. I dont know what ive done, but, its really sore, so im hobbling about quite a bit.

Hopefully it will ease off for tomorrow, and when I come home from work tomorrow I will be able to catch up on todays and tomorrow flying.
:grouphug: hope your knee is better today Jackie, mine play up awful sometimes, always have since I was a teenager :(

    WEEKLY LIST

Finally finish tidying the back bedroom ready for looming parents visit
    Start tiling the kitchen
    Gardening

    BACK BEDROOM
    • Package stuff up from course at work and put in loft/put away
    • Work out what to do with other stuff in room
    • Tidy on top of wardrobe
    • Move chair back downstairs
    • Put shelves in cupboard for books
I am going to try and do yesterday and my own list this morning, I will then make a start on the back bedroom.

OH has suggested that I wait until tomorrow to paint the kitchen, I am quite tired at the mo and he doesn't want me to wear myself out.

Trying to steam some of the gunk from the bottom of the oven before I bake my malt loaf.

Any suggestions for the future? Every time we cook roasts in the oven, especially chicken, they spit everywhere. I guess we could cover it with foil but we like crispy skin, crackling etc. I want an easy life so any ideas are welcomed.
