Dear Friends,
An e-petition is being compiled to reduce the time that Credit Reference Agencies can hold data on you from Six to three years (in line with Europe). This would improve the financial possabilties of many in what is a extremely unfair system.
To get your vote counted go to the website via
petitions.number10.gov.uk/CreditRA/
For some reason this website doesn't allow be submit a link directly so add the appropriate http:// to the above.
The current count is 337 and we need at least 500 to get a response from 10 Downing Street, so your vote really does count.

It's a bit of a shame that the petition's spelling is incorrect.
But be careful for what you wish for.... if we brought debt management issues in line with Europe, do bear in mind that many European countries apply criminal sanctions to financial miss-management whilst here it is simply contract law.0
