Am I the only one who loves Coors? I think it is actually a Canadian lager.

To answer Jacklin2001, on the inside of the cardboard packaging is a coupon that you have to complete with your name, address etc and include the price you paid for it (up to a maximum of £3.99). You don't even need to send off the receipt - but its only one pack of 4 free per household. Great offer!

I love Coor's light. It's not Canadian. Brewed in Golden, Colorado.

If you like Carling or Fosters you will probably like Coors. If you are more of a Stella, Kronenberg man/woman then you probably wont. If you dont want it ill have it ready to dish out whilst watching the footie in the sun lol
A name call of rubbish lagers to compare it with! Thanks for the info OP, but I'll think I'll give it a miss.

Coors is not bad. Better than fosters anyway!

As for money back offer, I've always been sceptical as I tried some of that Snickers spread once with a similar offer. Sent it off and never heard back. I got in touch with the company and they "had no record of any such offer" despite it being printed on the label... (which I posted to them and never saw again).

I think you'll find this is brewed in Burton-on-Trent ;-)

I think all these UK brewed "international" lagers have the same basic taste from the same basic recipe. Each differentiated with a hint of Grolsch/kronenburg/San-Miquel or whatever they need to put on the label.

That said I bought some Kronenburg in Asda last night, 20x300ml for £10.98 I think, and it's not too bad. Still too sweet but with a nice hop flavours and nearly a crisp finish :-)

Yes, exactly. What happens is some marketing person says "thay beer is well liked, we'll sell it in the UK, but it's much cheaper to brew under license in the UK, plus most people are not discerning about what they drink." End result is we end up with more shoddy lager.

    Sorry but I don't think so !!!

Given that COORS is Scottish & Newcatle's biggest competitor I can hardly see that they actually make the lager that bears their name.

The Royal does brew McEwans (an S&N brand)

Coors Brewers Ltd was formed in 2002 with the merger of the Coors Brewing Company in the USA and most of the former Bass Brewers in the UK
Coors owns the brands - Carling, Grolsch, Sol, Korenwolf, Royal Ales, Worthington's, Caffreys and Reef

Scottish & Newcastle's brands include – McEwans, Foster’s, Kronenbourg 1664, John Smith’s, Theakston's, Newcastle Brown, Courage and Strongbow

  • Sorry to be a stickler but it is brewed in Burton upon Trent - been to the brewery

Anyway - the moneyback offer. Does the cardboard packet say anything about getting your money back? Went to Asda yesteday and couldnt see anything on the packets saying get your money back - didnt realise it was inside the packet
