Swimming goggles for a child

My 4 yr old son wants swimming goggles and would be using it once a week . Argos is selling one for £5 and I also found loads in Ebay for cheaper price (particularly "Procella" for £0.99 +£2.99 postage). Are these Ebay ones any good? Am I better off with buying from Argos (although not available in local store but a store 5 miles away has some ) or is it worth spending more to get better ones from other online or offline stores? Thanks for the help.

I got some for my daughter (3yrs old) from the swimshop.co.uk for £2.95 + 0.95 p&p, i ordered a large dive stick too so in the end the postage was really good value as it was the same (95p)

Home bargains have some - Adults £1.99 not sure if children's are cheaper. They have 3 choices of nose band widths, are antifog and uv lens protected and are in a sturdy case.

Do you have a Habs near you, as I have seen some in there today in a case for £1.29.

My DD was a club swimmer and from the age of 4 has only used Speedo googles. They fit well, don't leak, don't fog, straps don't snap and are long lasting. She didn't find the addidas or Zogg ones any good. Here are all the googles made by speedo for junior swimmers.

The best ones she found are: Future Ice & Legend and pacific.

You can pick them up in Sports soccer for £8 & £5 usually though keep an eye in Debenhams for them in their sale.

Ask the swimming teacher to show the child how to fit them properly. There is a knack (same as swimming hats) to ensure they don't leak or move.

Swimming hats the silicon are longer lasting but a very tight fit for kids. The latex ones are more comfortable but don't last very long. Put talc in the swimming hat to put it on pain free!!

Thanks for everyone's help. I bought Speedo from Adams for £2.99 yesterday as I had to go to the towncentre to buy widefoot shoes for me from Clarks. My son loves it. Thanks again.
