in Cutting tax
Hi guys. I am currently a self employed tutor and file a tax return each year. However, now all my children are in full-time school i have decided to do the odd day supply teaching for a local agency. I still intend to stay tutoring for myself. I know there is space on my tax return for any other income recieved . However, they have sent me a p46 form to fill out and the options include things like:
this is my only job etc
or I am on job seekers etc.
It also asks for my tax code etc
Is there an alternative form I need if i am self employed and don't intend to keep one job and will i just pay emergency tax. I am confused, Please help! Thanks

You will need to complete the P46 as your employer will need to get your tax code as you will paying tax through PAYE.
Obviously you have declare this income on you self assessment as PAYE inome.0 -
You tick that you have another job.
You don't do anything about your tax code - that's for the employer to complete. They will operate Basic Rate on a cumulative basis.0 -
