Good programme, although a bit too short to get much across other than budgeting. That couple was also lucky to have 60 grand in the bank to use to clear their debts! Good on them for changing their ways by the end.
I did groan when I saw the credits though. To get the factsheet it was not "just" an evil 0870 number, but a premium rate 090 number . Not 25p, not 50p, but a whopping 75p charge for the call - shameful profiteering by ITV and I'm sure the irony would be lost on them...

I don't think they had £60,000 in the bank but earnt that between them0 -
Yeah I meant for people without internet or teletext.
My understanding was they had the 60K in the bank (sitting in a poor account) from the remortgage for the extension They used used a chunk of that money for the debts and built a cheaper extension instead. They were spending beyond their means and their joint incomes wasn't enough to pay off their CC debts.0
