Hi All
Quick q? I'm I right in thinking that Bailiffs do not operate in Northern Ireland?
I have been threathened with door step collections:rolleyes: by Skycard but I don't think bailiffs operate in Northern Ireland
.
I don't want to mention this to them if I am wrong:o and I wouldn't look to smug then:p
TIA

You are right - bailiffs don't operate in NI but why mention this to Skycard? The next step for them would be to go for a CCJ with a possible attachment of earnings order if your circumstances permit - then the Enforcement of Judgements people will be round to visit (eventually). Why not just let them think their doorstep collections agents are in the process of collecting the debt;)
I know it's tempting to say "up yours I know best" to them but in doing that you're helping them - and possibly disadvantaging yourself by spedding up any action they can take. Have you spoken to a debt charity about your debt?"I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better." Paul Theroux0
