So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Right, this may not be a perfectly nutritionally balanced meal plan for this week, but I think its reasonable and makes use of the rubbish I bought!
Dinners:
Sunday - dahl (make double and freeze half)
Monday - veggie 'chicken' with 1/4 swede and potato
Tuesday - Brocolli and pasta cheese
Wednesday - Sausages, baked beans, baked potato
Thursday - Baked potato with cheese and beans
Friday - frozen mince from last week, packed with veg, with pasta
Saturday - 2nd serving of dahl.
For lunches:
Use 3/4 swede and split peas to make nice thick soup for 3 days, serve with bread.
Spagetti on toast for 2 days
Mushroom cup a soup (not listed, sorry:o) with cheese on toast.
Hmm, I am reasonably proud of that!
Any further suggestions?0 -
You're learning, cecilia
!
What about breakfasts though? Have you thought about something to 'snack' on as well?
My breakfast - everyday - is porridge made with water with a teaspoon of sugar (brown if possible) or golden syrup stirred in. I started having this to try to keep my cholesterol down - now 4.2 :j. It's also very good for 'keeping you regular'!0 -
I'm really not a breakfast eater I'm afraid:o Snacky-wise, I haven't counted in my fruit at all, and will have half a loaf of bread and 6 crumpets, so I think i would survive.0

My friend/landlord had time tonight to very kindly take me to Asda, so although its only Monday I have done next weeks shopping. Got all sorts of bits and bobs, lots of fruit and fresh and frozen veg, plus some lager:rolleyes: and a pizza for tonights supper as a thankyou to him. Spent £11 in all, less than my £10 weekly budget and bus fare, so very happy. Won't be the most varied meals ever, but by rejiggling this weeks meals too it will be okay.
Didn't manage to get size 6 trousers though, main reason for going to Asda - had 4s which were too small and 8 which were too big:rolleyes::cool:0 -

Well done, Cecilia, brilliant!
How tall are you? Could you get trousers from the kids' section? Age 14-15 might well fit you (though not if you're 5'8", of course!).0 -
