Desperate to move out of social housing.

  • Just renting is too expensive in my area. I have just completed an online Working tax calculation and am told I am not entitled. I have to be working 30 hours a week..not an average of. I have a 24 hour a week contract, which is 4 days of 6 hour shifts and regularly work 5 days of 6 hour shifts but its unpredictable and dependant on colleague absence. It may be possible for me to secure a 5 day week in the near future but the calculations are done on the previous year when I was not working 30 hours every week. It just seems ridik that we have 20k available to us and cant do anything with it to move out other than waste in on private rent.
