went in there yesterday and bought about £15 worth of frozen food, all were half price.....when i checked my reciept i notice a buy two for £2 on birds eye curries was not applied and returned back for my refund of approx 70p...was given no apology for the mistake after having to queue at customer service for 10 mins..... was really annoyed with the lack of customer service and i started to get a bee in my bonnet! i was offered a flyer eventually for £3 off my next £15 and over shop....disatisfied i asked why they dont just apply that on my current shop as a gesture (i knew i would not be using it as i rarely spend more than a £10 (fresh mid week groceries) and do big shops at tesco's)...they werent having it so i suggested what if you refund my shop and put it through again and then use the £3 off? they said if i chose to do that then go ahead... anyway they got the manager out for me and she wasnt budging as their policy was just to give price difference only.....so i said fine i would like you to replace all the frozen food with new items as it has been thawing out in the time i had to rectify your mistake....no she says i m not going to do that.... from now on i am gonna insist i scan the reciept before handing over my credit card because why should i have waste my time queueing to rectify there mistakes if their is no incentive to pointing it out!

well least i can inform you all about those flyers floating around...request them at cs before you shop....

hellofreebies, I agree with you re somerfield customer service, on the occassions I have had to complain, I have always left there more annoyed with their attitude than the initial problem - so I stopped doing my weekly shop there & will now only pop in for necessities when I have to.
