There's a useful herbal supplement called gingko biloba that might be worth a look, Margaret.Promotes mental alertness (and blood circulation to the extremities). :)
I actually waver quite a lot between being 'ethical' and wanting to maximise my fund ..

Ah, that explains a few things, I was getting a bit confused that makes two of us:D
I've only got another 4 years to do it in!!

I think that applies to the pension/SIPP, not the ISA.

    BTW, who's your ISA provider?
    Trying to keep it simple...;)

Thanks a lot, Ed. See my post today in someone else's thread from March 'Are pensions complicated or what?' The mystery is explained.

My equity ISA is with HL, the whole lot in one place.

I'm breathing a huge sigh of relief - the Aegon and Morley (formerly Norwich) funds are nos. 1 and 18 and we discussed them 2 months ago, which was why I put them down on the application form.

I've actually just 'switched' half of the Morley - £2153.64, half of that (£1076.82) to Aberdeen Ethical World Inc Oeic A Income Shares and the other half to Aegon Ethical Equity Fund A Acc Units. I chose the Aberdeen one because I wanted something a little more 'global'.

I'm happy with the rest of it. And I'm not losing my marbles!

    Thanks and best wishes

There's something even more useful to aid memory which is non-invasive and has minimal side effects: a photocopier.

Well, yes, obviously I should have downloaded an extra form and kept a copy, or scanned the original before sending it. But I didn't.

At least I have the explanation now.

    I am amazed.

My Friends' Provident stakeholder fund was transferred to Hargreaves Lansdown on 11th May, a little over 3 weeks ago.

The fund was, by many standards, a piddling amount, but I was proud of having built it up from only retirement income since stakeholders became available only a few years ago and since the legislation was changed to allow saving into a pension from 'unearned' income.

This fund, on transfer, was £8417.72. It was just when the FTSE started to slide.

I am amazed, therefore, that on the close of business on Friday 1st June this amount appears to have grown to £10,628.01.

£2,210.29 growth in just 3 weeks????

    Any comments?

Timing worked in your favour as your SIPP just missed the initial big drops. You tend to be out of the market for 3-5 days on a transfer.

Yes, it sounds like your cash arrived just as the markets were rebounding.

Good for you! But remember that these things go the other way too!

Suggest you check it again during the week in working hours Margaret. What can sometimes happen is that the "prices feeds" which these online companies use can go a bit weird out of market hours.I've only experienced this with individual shares myself, not funds, and not at HL, but it gave me quite a shock the first time, as the value of my portfolio seemed to have taken a sudden 20% dive

All was back to normal the following day.

Of course let's hope all is perfectly OK now. :) It way well be that you exited at the top, missed the plunge and then went back in at the bottom, so experiencing the bounceback.

I reckon it's that old Sipp magic myself ;):D

Thanks for the responses. Yes, I will check it during the week. I'm still so new to all this and I find it so fascinating, I check it daily.
