Unofrtunately I know nothing about the company itself.
I do like their mortgage amortisation calculator on their web site though. It's an excellent tool for working out how much you should owe at any stage in the future!
I did a search of the forums using the tool in the top right corner of the page and it doesn't appear to have come up with any complaints. Or testimonials.
Working through their web site I notice this page "10 Great Reasons to Choose Us".
"Access to products that may not be available on the high street.
As specialist mortgage intermediaries, we have a plethora of mortgage products that are usually only available from:- Centralised Lenders, for example:
- The Mortgage Business (TMB), a specialist lender of HBOS (the Halifax/Bank of Scotland group),
- or UCB Home Loans, the specialist lender of the Nationwide Building Society,
- Accord, a subsidiary of the Yorkshire Building Society
- Subsidiaries of an international conglomerate, for example:
- GE Home Loans, a subsidiary of one of the would's largest companies - General Electric, and,
- GMAC Residential Funding a UK subsidiary of General Motors
Now I may be wrong, but I believe most of those lenders named above aren't currently lending.
Why do you want to use the firm?0 - Centralised Lenders, for example:

Have you still not heard back from HSBC?
4 days with an underwriter really isn't long, HSBC I suspect are quite busy in their underwriting departments because of the deals that they have and the fact that they are actively looking for business.
Have you actually chased them up or just been waiting to hear?
Honestly wait to hear what they say before you do anything else.
As opinions4U has said they haven't been updating their website, if you need to see a broker after waiting to hear back from HSBC then ask around and find a local, independent whole of market mortgage broker, someone that you can see and get hold of. If you haven't already get a copy of your credit file.
I too like the calculator on said website!I am a Mortgage Adviser

Give them a call Monday
Try to relax:) If they do say no, you will still have options it won't be the end and so relax:) As I said above ask around to see if someone that will recommend a good, whole of market, independent mortgage broker to hedge your bets. Enjoy the rest of the weekend:)
