Hi, What do you old stylers use for streak clear windows. We have just had large picture windows fitted and when the sun shines they are covered with streaks. They look even worse since the window cleaner has done the outside
Its the job I hate most of all. please make it easy for me.

The time will come when you have everything but time.

good old fashioned way is a little vinegar in water, rub over the windows with a sponge or cloth, and then rub some scrunched up newspaper over them to dry off, you will be astounded with how clean they are!0

personally, I like Ecover lemon multi surface cleaner (discovered it by accident last year when the previous tenant in my flat left it behind!) I apply a smidge of it neat on a damp sponge, then buff it clean with newspaper.
of course, there's always vinegar! If your windows are really mucky, you can pop in a bit of washing up liquid to the solution to help lift it.0 -
I use a mixture of roughly 1 tablespoon of Stardrops + 1 tablespoon of white vinegar in a spray bottle topped up with water. Then dry the window with a microfibre cloth. Wilkos do a pack of 4 cloths for £2 and I find the blue one the best for drying/buffing. You can also get really good microfibre cloths from Poundland etc and they all seem to do a good job. I used to hate cleaning windows but now find it a doddle and no more streaky windows (or mirrors/oven doors/cooker hob/shower door).
There's a whole thread on Stardrops/microfibre cloths - I would recommend having a read through this.0
