Buyer's chq not received

Hello, I am a novice ebay seller looking for some advice.
I sold an item on May 1st, and the buyer sent and invoice the same day promising me a cheque for payment. A week later, I still had not received her cheque, so I contacted her to tell her. I have not received any reply.
It is now 9 days after the auction. My question is, how long is it reasonable to wait for payment for an item? I intend to contact her and ask for payment again. How long should I give her?

You can start the nPB dispute as early as day 7 so you would not be unreasonable if you started it now. HOwever, cheques get lost in the post all the time, so maybe email her one more time and just say that the cheque still hasn't been received and can she confirm that it was sent on xx day? If she still doesn't respond just start the NPB tomorrow or Thursday.
