What have you spent today - Weds 10/5/06

Morning...

I'm aiming to spend nothing today - but kicking myself because I was one ingredient short for tea last night and by imposing a no spend today I'll have to wait it again till tomorrow...

However, I think this is my best shot as the next two days will definitely hoover money!

Edit: No spend blown as OH wanted to visit fencing stockists for a couple of hours after work so we went to KFC for an instant tea! We spent c. £6.50 (I talked him down from the bucket :))

after failing miserably yesterday afternoon, I spent £2 on cups of tea for me and a friend (she was upset), I redeemed myself by WALKING the 5 miles to the OH's house, saving £2 on the tube (and very good for the FFW). However, the OH had nothing from which I could scrape together a lunch for today, but he did give me £1 towards it so I only have 75p to spend today.

  • Fingers crossed that it'll be a no spend for me today after such an awful day yesterday.

Made an extra £40 from doing mystery shops to only spend £20 on petrol, £5 on lunch (cos I was feeling awful having to buy petrol  ), £11 on jumper for DH, and £10 on new weight-training gloves. So made £40 but spent £46

But I do have DH's cash card in today to get reimbursed for the jumper :T

Spent £1.20 so far on a snickers & fanta - bad I know!!

Have lunch with me so shouldnt spend anything else.

Just sent off a letter to my bank requesting statements, I was led to believe that they were already in the post to me after having called them last Tuesday but received another call asking me to write to them, a bit angry, but even more determined not to let them get away with it...

Am thinking I might relax a bit on the savings front & just enjoy London whilst I am still here. I want to see/do a lot of touristy things so might just spend my 2nd job money rather than save it... We'll see...!!

I am moving out of London on the 24th July - how scary is that!!!

    xx

I'm having a no-spend day today. But if I do a two-weekly shop I dont really need much inbetween. (Thank goodness!) What is a realistic sum to spend? Theres OH and me, and three teenage (13,16,19) boys who could eat for England, and the dog of course! I usually spend about £280pm including cleaning stuff etc. Is that way too much? You all seem to spend a lot less, but i dont know your circumstances....
