where do i start?

Hi there, I have decided to take a REALIST look at my debt today and completed the buget planner. Unfortunatley i spend more than i earn and a large part of this is on credit card repayments. I want to start to stop spending and get out of this hole but i dont know what to do next. Can anyone help me to get started please?

  • Go and do a Statement of Affairs - and then post it up to us so we can have a look and see what you can cut down on.

    As a first few pointers:

    1) Check that you are getting the cheapest Electricity/Gas Suppliers
    2) Cut down your Cable and Mobile to the Cheapest Package
    3) Go to the Old Style Board and see about cutting down your Food Bill

I hope that helps a little...I'm sure someone will be along soon to give you the Link for the Statement of Affairs :)
  • Hi there

DreamerHelen gave you some good advice. A statement of Affairs is a good place to start, so that all the clever folk on here can give you good advice on where you can look at cutting down.

I don't have much to add, only to say, welcome and well done on facing up to your debt. With good planning and a realist's view I'm sure you can come out of it.:T
