Does anyone know what is a reasonable time for a company to cancel an account?
I rang Santander cards 3 weeks ago and ask them to close my account but when I checked my credit report today it says they updated on 13/09/2009 and it does not say settled.

I don't know butmaybe you should call them.. I've got the same probelm with lloyds - cancelled lloyds and natwest within a week of each other, natwest updated almost immediately but lloyds has done nothing for two months now...0

I will call them but wanted to see if there was a logical explanation for this first. Strange how one of your accounts updated and the other didn't though.
Not really sure what the difference between having 0 balance on an account and having settled next to it is anyway?0
