Got my Experian file

So far I have got status 8 for Next, Capital One status 8 and also says partial settlement. :s I'm not sure what this means apart from the fact I paid off a smaller amount because it was bulk, I didn't think this would affect my score and it's not the only one:rolleyes:
For the Next one it says balance outstanding in Jan is £36 but I paid it off in Nov so cant work that out wether it's closed or not.
It also has two joint loans apps for myself and g/f. One I was tricked into by the women saying it would not be a joint app, "just a check on my partner as I live with her" and then refused me the loan because I said she lied to me, ended up saying I was too risky and her decision was final(even though 2 mins earlier she had said yes before the app with my g/f on it to  )
Now the other one is from Cheltenham & Gloucester was a quote for a morgage which was not approved(suprise suprise eh) but we didn't want one anyway it was just a quote out of interest but the lady told my g/f it was my fault because my credit scoring was too poor because I had outstanding defaults unpaid even though I dont have any i'm behind in so I couldn't work that out or the fact she told y g/f this, is this much info allwed to be told my g/f?(data protection act??) And something else was that she even though we couldn't have a morgage now we can soon and we can have 111K:rotfl:
Is it just me or is this a little ar feched??
Anyway any advice would be greatly appreciated The rest of my finance isn't too bad I only have a couple of 4's with one account and the rest are just 1-2's but I am worried how long these will all affect me for as well as I do ant to get a morgage before i'm 35 :)

The "Numbers" are as follows,, Don't know why but there is NO Number 7 !
0 = Payment up to date
1 = Up to one payment late
2 = Up to two payments late
3 = Up to three payments late
4 = Up to four payments late
5 = Up to five payments late
6 = Up to six payments late
8 = The account is defaulted. You have failed to keep to your credit agreement and have not responded satisfactorily to requests to put your account in order. As a result the credit agreement has ended
U = The lender has not been able to give the account a status for this month. This may be at the start of the credit agreement when the lender is allowing time for the account to be set up; when the customer has received the goods but payment is not due to start immediately; when there is a dispute over the payments due or the goods received; or when the account is not being used.
D = The account is not being used - no amount is owed
? = The lender has not given a status to the account this month - no amount is owed
[ ] Brackets indicate most recent status

    Hope that helps////

Basically you have been issued defaults from Capital One and Next which would explain why you cannot obtain any credit. These have serious implications as they will remain on your credit file for 6 years.

You need to get onto Next first thing tomorrow and get it sorted out. If it is their mistake they have the means to remove the default from your account. If you have correspondence confirming the account was closed make sure you dig it out. :)

I didn't think this would affect my score and it's not the only one

Sorry, you've lost me on that bit!

So with the defaults they stay on for 6 years even though I ahve paid them off? :(
So this basically means I can not get any credit or a decent morgage for another 4 years?
If this is true i'm more depressed about it then I was before
