Sorry to George and Palerma that you couldn't find us. We were there honest, we had a cow brolly and a DFW sign on the table although it was small. The pub was packed though.
I discovered introducing yourself by your user name in a public place is quite embarassing:o
It was nice to meet all that made it. :beer:Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

Just back from Edinburgh.
Over 5 hours there and couldn't find any MSE'ers. I even made a MSE badge and went back at around 6. Nowhere on princes street or surrounding areas sells labels. I had to buy some safety pins from boots and used a piece of paper. Had a wander around the german market and attractions after that incase someone was there.
I spent over £3 on a payphone to 118118 to try to find the nearest internet cafe to George Street. St Clerk street my elbow!! Princes street tourist centre had one. I should have got a helium balloon and brought it with me this morning.
I'm knackered now. Wish i had gotten to see some of you. You might have seen me sticking my head round the corner, but i forgot my glasses this morning in my rush for the train and was trying to find this unmissable hat and heather type jacket.
Hope the rest of you had a good time. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

It was so so busy when I went into the Standing Order and people were giving me really funny looks when I tried to actually get into the rooms to look for everyone, as there were lots of people waiting on tables.
Maybe next time!flying_fresian wrote: »
Ooh, can I come too?
I am going to meet Clootiesmum soon and yes you can come along too if its ok with her!!
I should have PM'd someone to ask for a mobile number then I would have been able to meet everyone today.
Good to hear everyone who made it had a good day

Well, I am really disappointed to find no group piccies or exciting tales of MSE festive fun. Been checking on here for cow head brolly group. Better luck next time guys.
Maybe we'll make it then, too.

Hi, was nice to meet those who made it and sorry not to have met the others who could not find us.
I have to say though I'm sure I wouldn't have found people without having had phone numbers - the standing order is huge and was absolutely packed with quite a lot of large groups.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Where are the flippin pictures then?
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0
