Free Compost (Liverpool) on Friday

Liverpool City Council is giving away free compost as part of compost awareness week (7-12 May).
Twenty tonnes of free compost will be given away free to Liverpool residents on Friday 12 May, from 10am until 7pm at Clarkes Gardens, Springwood Avenue.
Please bring your own shovels and bags. There is a limit to how much compost each customer is allowed, so please don't bring your wheelbarrow or trailer!
The compost is made from entirely recycled kitchen and garden waste collected from homes across Merseyside.

Good post Mike,
I live 'over the water' from you so free stuff won't apply to me, but after reading this I'm going to phone my local council - E.Port -
tomorrow and see if they have a 'compost awareness week'

Hi sashacat,
No mention of having to prove address, I think it's just a case of turning up with a few bags and a spade.
(although Springwood is also a cemetery, so you might get a few odd looks coming away with a full bag and a spade
