Mortgage Help

Options
Hi

Me and my partner are splitting up (not married). He's in the process of getting me removed off the mortgage and I should have a good 20k to put down as a deposit, any remaining I want to pay off my debts. I presently have about £3500 overdraft and £3500 credit card but he's agreeing to pay off most of these as these were taken out to bail him out! So,
I'll be looking for a mortgage completely debt free and with a good deposit. The problem is that a few months ago we got behind with the mortgage because of the rows, splitting up, etc and my o/draft went over, credit card payment missed, etc. I'm all up to date with everything now and obviously will be in a good position when applying for a new mortgage. Will mortgage companies look upon this negatively given the situation or will they take into account we were splitting up, etc... I've requested a Equifax report to see what my situation's like and hopefully I'll be able to know where I've gone wrong! Any advice on whether to stay with existing company who may look more favourably towards my situation or to change. I don't want hundreds of people to credit search me making my situation worse! I have no storecards/car on credit, etc... HELP:mad:

Depending on your exact details - you may find a high street lender happy to "ignore" these glitches with an explanation
