I wanna Epilator that also does underarm hair - not for me!!

My niece has asked me for one of these for her birthday - can anyone recommend a good one?

I can't think if anything I'd rather do less than epilate under my arms!!

Thanks

  • I have a braun one which also has an adapter for bikini:eek:, face:eek::eek: and underarms. I tried it on underarms, but ain't doing it again - I'd rather give birth. It also has a shaver attachment, and I use this for underarms - much more comfortable.
They don't make mine anymore, but this one looks pretty good and can be used in the shower/bath too. (I'm sure you can get it cheaper than this, it's just for illustration).

This one is much cheaper and says it's for underarms too.

    It's only a game

  • I tried it once - never again! I now use hair removing cream, so much more comfortable!

  • I've got a blowtorch for hire!
  • I have this one, although i bought mine in Boots when it was half price:

Its great, and the ice pack attachment is so useful the first few times you use it as it does help with the pain a little. Underarms are agony the first few times you do them, but if you can perservere it does become pain free eventually. I couldn't be without mine now, hair regrowth is a lot less and much lighter in colour. I couldn't imagine going back to shaving ever again.

I have the Braun Ice-epliator- not sure on its exact name, but it has an ice patch you are supposed to use with it. I tried. I drew blood- yes my skin was taught- I just cannot see how it wont cause blood loss- the blades cut paper when its flat!

I did see QVC advertise a panasonic one with three motorwheels -the models on the show, bless them, had smiles which looked very pained! But it did not draw blood nor seem likely to. Think they said it can also be used underwater. No epilator is painless- think about what it does: it yanks hairs out at the root! But some are less painful then others.

Wax it- way better if someone else does it- no mess, less pain, better results.

I have this same one and I love it - again I got it half price!! Underarms are horrific, I found the first time I had to do a little bit and keep stopping. :o I'd suggest you have a waxing first and then just keep up to the regrowth weekly with the epilator.

  • I have a philips satinellethat I got for half price, and although it has an attachment for underarms I prefer to do without. Can bear doing my underarms far more than my legs! Anyone else with coarse hair find that their legs hurt when the hair starts growing back?

I did - then I started using an exfoliator between sessions, I have got those gloves that are like sandpaper and use those in the shower, it stops the hairs growing under the skin by removing the dead top layer.
