OH and I are going to a black tie do in a few weeks. He has got a fab tuxedo (ebay!) and I have got a lovely dress (ebay again) to wear.
However OH is adamant he wants to wear shiny patent shoes :rolleyes:can anyone suggest any shops or websites that sell them very cheaply? He has tried ebay to no avail!
thanks!!

Jeffery West are the best for nice patent shiny shoes for men IMO, but they are pricey if you get the new season stuff..However, I believe they do an Autograph collection in M&S, so it may be worth trying there?? Or try for some second hand ones off ebay?? My OH loves them..0

I'm not sure but you might be able to hire dress shoes. My suggestion would be well polished smart lace up shoes, bulled on the toes if appropriate, if he's not going to er them a lot (rented shoes don't sound fun to me!) over dress shoes he's unlikely to wear again.
If its a work/career related thing in a corporate sphere then, IMHO shoes count, more so for men and if this is more than a once of I'd probably buy some decent dress shoes. The good thing about them is, if you buy classic then they lmost certainly will never need replacing. DH has only worn his once or twice since new year, and last festive season.0 -
Thanks - Jeffrey West far too expensive and he has tried ebay several times to no avail.
It is literally one night and I think he wants to spend about £20 x0 -
Have you tried TK MAXX? A friend's partner insisted on some for a cruise and he got some from there about a month ago at less than £20.
My local market stall which sells store returns has also had them this season (they are big with the Emo boys worn with 7/8ths jeans and no socks). I think they were "Jones The Bootmaker". What size is he? I can always take a look in town tomorrow.0
