Little Mermaid Fancy Dress - please help

Hiya everyone I was hoping that you all might be able to help me. I have to dress up for a disney fancy dress soon. I have chosen to go as Little Mermaid as I have red hair, but I wont feel comfortable wearing a bikini top and a fish tale. So has anyone else got any suggestions that they think I could wear or where I could get anything from, have looked on ebay and cant really find anything. Was hoping to wear something similar to when she becomes a human.

No offence, but if you don't want to wear the bikini and tail, why not go as something else?

I don't know how much time you've got or how creative you are but you could try and make the below to be really MSE. You could even source the material from ebay (type blue sequin/green sequin and filter to fabric)

Hey thank you for so many replies so far. I appreciate it. The theme is Disney fancy dress. I do want to go as Ariel on dry land lol. If i had the figure I would wear the tail and bikini lol but I dont want to look silly. I wanted to go as someone I had sam colour hair as so i didnt need to buy a wig.
