Help - worried!!

Have just posted this on credit cards too but worried if anyone here had any ideas!
OH has just taken out a BT credit card to take advantage of the 0% balance transfer rate. We transfered my balance from my Debenhams credit card but it isn't showing up properly. Basically it is showing up on the BT card but the Debenhams card is still showing the amount too. I've phoned Debanhams and they said it can sometimes take 15 days to go through?!?!? I can't phone BT as the card is in DHs name and he's away with work for a few days. I have messaged them on line so will see if they get back to me.
Is it normal for there to be a delay or has a mistake been made and the money transferred from someone elses account do you think?

  • Hiya

    Don't panic.

It should be fine, I had the same thing with all the recent balance transfers I did.

Just keep an eye on it to be sure, but it sounds normal to me :)

  • Yes, please don't worry. I made a payment onto my Egg card the other day and it showed up straight away as a debit in my current account and took several days before showing up on the Egg account.

As stated By MrsPorridge, it doesn't show up straight away.

I paid off my balance for my Capital One card on the day that payment was due, so I got no charges or interest. Took a few days to show up on online banking but the date it said it was collected was the payment due date. :)
  • Thanks again for the advice. I've just checked again and it's all gone through! Panic over!!!
