    Yeah i agree - it's free, i'm not complaining.
  • Still a yawnfest of abject boredom, not falling for Sky's PR attempts to get more customers as much as their London cycle event. There were a few treasures and I only watched Color of Magic even though I had already seen it. To answer the question, is there something for everyone, for sure, am I all those people in one, impossible. So don't be surprised if out of it all I had one petty gripe that Ballet was boring. Anyway I very much doubt those that pursue Ballet would even contemplate watching it on TV, let alone subscribe to such a chav channel supplier. I'm happy with freeview and not filling political puppet master Rupert Murdoch's pockets further. His products should come with a serious health warning, I detest the man and all that he stands for, be it baked beans or his openy racist agendas.

Toni the question was do you enjoy ANY of those types of programme seeing as you gave the impression there was nothing for you to watch on it... I didnt ask for a political rant.. IMO it is possible to enjoy several diff type of programmes,, I for example like music, arts, documentaries on a variety of subjects, films and dramas...I was trying to asses your taste in tv aside form the Fast Show as it didnt fit any of those categories...

Sorry but you failed to read my initial post and what did I say? I didn't mention anything else, just the Ballet was boring but you took offence enough to reply to that. I wasn't being political I was stating fact, maybe you like having the wool pulled over your eyes by Rupert Murdoch, I don't. I don't like what he's done to to the industry, stealing shows away from normal channels as soon as they become popular, blocking Virgin from buying into ITV, his uncompetitive business practices and his sports monopoly. If our channels are now suffering it's all down to him. That's not politics, it's a straightforward description of how this animal works, as much as calling a square a square. Strange that it totally coincided with their London cycle run too. Obviously I won't make any friends with the Sky dish fan club.
Regarding my tastes they're as broad as they come, only exceptions are soccer and ballet, so I'm not a one trick pony in that respect. I'd rather watch a good old B&W movie rarely shown, to a year old "premier" hourly repeated across 3 channels. Sorry I just remember the glory days of TV, less channels and diverse quality original content, instead of these cross channel clone shows pumped out endlessly in a loop.
  • Well we enjoyed Skellig - my DD had read it at school and wanted to watch it. I liked Grease The School Musical too, but I'm not going to take out a Sky subscription just for that.
