Need a moan! My OH's grandma has fallen and broken her hip - but we aren't supposed to know that! In case she can't make the wedding!
I only know because my MoH's ex met my monster-in-law at the hospital - was told not to tell anyone but felt we should know so told my MoH to see if she thought we should know! Well doh of course we need to! Officially we still don't know! It puts us £100 out of pocket if they don't come - with a month to go I could invite someone else but if they leave it any longer I wont be able to! I don't want to sound pathetic but I think it's bang out of order! Surely it is important that we know - do I leave my table plan with their names on? I can see my monster-in-law telling us at the meal we are having the night before the wedding! Plus we would actually like to visit/ send a card!:eek::eek::eek:
I feel like I am acting like a spoilt brat but the mil has been determined to ruin the wedding since day one!:mad::mad::mad:0 -

I know how you feel.
One of OH's mates is t!tting about and we don't know not if he is coming (this only came about last night!) and his Nan may not be coming (only found out last night too) and she's in hospital today for some kind of injections wheree if they go well, great she will be there, but if they go wrong, oh ohh she will be in a bad way and won't be coming, so fingers crossed!
I totally understand about Nan, but his mate is driving me up the freakin wall!
And please tell me, who knows of a hospital who will ring you, to tell you to come in the following day for an op?? (and no it's not a cancellation!) He is so full of bullsh!t and I don't even want him there now. :mad:Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

Thanks for making me feel better! I just can't understand why she would not want us to know that she is not coming - the MiL thinks it will stress me out - more upset that I may lose £100! May have to invite OH's nephews girlfriend! She is coming at the night anyway! Then put her on the end if his gran and her husband come and put the two of them on the other table if they don't! Too complicated!0 -

Maybe she didn't want you to worry, or didn't tell you as she wanted the place left open just incase Gran does come?
Either way it's rude as you should know if guests might not come or not so you can sort someone else in their place! xTank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

No she doesn't do being nice! She has rung OH after texting him to make sure I wasn't home!!!! She told him that his grandma is still hoping to come but she has had a fall - apparently she and his dad have been trying to ring both of us but mysteriously neither of us have a text or a missed call! she is trying to stir up old problems! She keeps moaning that it is too expensive - she is staying 2 nights because she wants to not for any other reason!!! She feels we should be paying for her to stay and them to have a bottle of champagne in their room the night before! Not a chance! She is just insufferable!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:0 -
Well my week is not so well, my bestest friend has cancelled coming, she needs a op and has been waiting 9 months, so helpfully they have booked her in for the week of the wedding. Both of us are gutted but I understand she needs it, but really going to notice her missing.
So I will murder my mother if she doesn't come over and help me try my dress on!!:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0 -

I also have bloomin' relatives of OH being awkward too!
BUT on a positive note, i went to venue and paid the final balance today! Eeeeek - i nearly cried when i had to hand my debit card over to pay £3190 (and that is MINUS our £1000 deposit lol)
But it is done - also chocolate fountain lady is paid up, as are the cars and the church. Paying most people on the day (though havent worked out who to entrust with Hundreds of £'s yet!) Who are you all entrusting with paying suppliers etc on the day??Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0 -
