Thanks Honey I am ok just this and that getting to me at the moment. You know how it is ...................

Anyways you need to take care of yourself, its poo when you are ill. Do you have anyone to take care of you? If not then we shall have to arrange a rota.

Or better still we can all descend whilst we are on the Darwin Crimbo Lights tour. How big is your flat ;) Btw sorry to hear your Crimbo plans got muddled earlier. Still well done on making a start.

Guess Jamie/Delia aka Dear Lurky is down for the mince pie making this year? Well lets just see if he can deliver, can he walk the walk or does he just talk the talk :rotfl:

(Do you know I bet he is a dab hand, I just know it )

    Hugs and take care

My flat's quite tiny so I think I'd need a rota to fit you all in! :rotfl:

Am on my own but B/F is doing a great job of looking after me via texts & calls :)

Liking the idea of Lurky-made mince pies, & BHB to supply the turkey of course ;)

You take care of yourself, sweetie :)

  • Hello all

BB don't like to hear you are down cause you look out for us all - anything we can do to help?
It's a horrible windy night in Wiltshire and unfortunately not AF - parents are here for rest of week and that means I had some wine tonight - mind you my parents hardly drink so half a glass for mum and she's squiffy!
The funniest Christmas we ever had was Mum in the kitchen quaffing Dad's home made wine - the first we know is a half canned, giggling Mum unable to finish off the dinner and me being the oldest was expeted to make gravy etc. It was sooo funny but Mum denies it all now!
Hope the bear flu' is getting better HB - mind you with this weather Bear Towers sounds like the place to be!
Fay - sorry to hear about the house move - on another thread it's about how many places have you stayed in since 18! I got to 20 and thought "sod it" - the nomadic life of a student! Thankfully OH and I managed to buy so want to stay put for ever and maybe one day empty the boxes in the garage!
Hope everyone else is doing well - when in Bristol tonight to pick up the parents saw a Chrimbo house - came over a bit Lurky - it's still November!!
Anyway will love you and leave you
By the way BB - don't know why I chose the name apart from the dizzy bit - in my neck of the woods you're called "hen" (or my Dad calls me "wee hen")
    take care all
    xx

    :hello:

Well done everyone reporting in AF tonight and there are lots:T

HB, sorry you're no better. I just KNOW I've got a cold coming And I keep telling myself it'll only be a cold 'cos you can't catch Bearflu from a computer, can you?? I've got loads on for the next few days and feeling ill is just what I don't need. I'll keep up the paracetamol and fingers crossed. Hopefully you'll feel a bit stronger tomorrow. Glad you still feel up to posting.

BB, I hope you'll feel a bit brighter tomorrow as well. I do hate it when you're down as you're so good at keeping our spirits up. Let us know if we can help at all. Problem shared and all that.

Not sure about Lurky for mincepie making as I recall he was sacked from his restaurant job due to poor pancake making (or similar:p)

GG, must agree those blanket things didn't look very fetching. It depends the lengths you're planning to go to to stay warm. One person on Amazon said she was thinking of wearing hers to go out  And thanks so much for scoring too.

Missing a few of you recently, no sign of BHB or GP and lots of others. Do say hi if you're lurking.

Struggled a bit tonight but didn't give in. It's easy to give in to a sod it night towards the end of the month.

    12AF please GG.

    'night all.
  • Hi Everyone,

A rather late post this evening, I've been playing Elf Bowling:eek: Once I started knocking the pesky critters down, I just could'nt stop and know look at the time:D

Fun though. Hope everyone is okay! GP I hav'nt seen you post recently hope you are doing okay? BB sorry to read you are down, chin up, this weather does'nt help anyone, does it.

GG I'm on 24/30 and at last day 70/100 of the challenge. I cannot believe I have got to 10 weeks AF, I would never have imagined I could do it. Thanks to you guys, months of Lurking, and you all gave me the inspiration, and the kick up the backside I needed. Hope I can give someone else the push they need! If your reading:cool:

Hugs to Fay/Jo and SS Angel, and YM hope everyone else is okay.

A big thanks to GG for scoring this month, a great job:T:T

Well guess I had better retire, will pay for this late night in the morning.

    Good Luck

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

  • Morning all

Budgie - sorry to hear you are down. Perhaps combination of all things going on and the time of year? You spend so much time worrying about the rest of us. Our turn to worry about you. Lots of hugs including a lovely one from Piglet (you're ok, he's not monster child today...he's in a squidgy mood!):grouphug:

Honeybear - you are a poorly bear aren't you! I hope you're feeling better today. Lots of lemsips and resting sounds the order of the day

FUAS - same for you. Hope you are taking care of yourself?

My friend text me yesterday to say she was sat in the middle of starbucks crying into her drink (he mum died this time of year about 20 years ago). I told her to order another mega grande vente choc mocho latte cappucino frothy coffee and perk up! See I SO should have been an agony aunt!:rotfl:Made me think of how down people can get at this time of year. Theres me getting all excited about christmas with Piglet and theres people out there with nothing. Sorry, just me in a reflective mood.

Speaking of christmas....I'm trying to build up a box of duplo bricks for Piglet for Christmas. I've been bidding on various stuff on ebay (its SO expensive to buy new). Last night I was bidding on some bricks and they kept going up and up. Was SO determined to have them I went over my budget...and I won them ...yay!! Rang my mum to tell her (as she was going to look for some for me too) only to find it was HER I was bidding against!! How stupid are we!?!?!:rotfl::rotfl:Never mind, it wasn't a huge amount and at least I have them. I will check next time though!

Anyway, best get on. Would be good If I could get dressed today!:rotfl:

    Speak later

    Miss P
