The giving up/cutting down alcohol support thread! Part 5

Pouring it down the sink or p*ssing down the loo - what's the difference?
You'll feel better if you pour it down the sink (maybe a step too far:eek:??)
I have poured a lot of wine down the sink. The many evenings where I'd drunk too much and knew I needed to stop often ended with me pouring half a bottle down the sink so it wouldn't be there the next day to tempt me. But of course the shops were there :rolleyes:0 -
Okay so here's my first question...
Do you tell people that you are quitting/giving up? I'm really worried that people will be odd with me when I tell them I'm not drinking
I know I shouldn't care but you can't help it sometimes! My workmates are very alcohol/pub centered people unfortunately!
At the moment I'm just saying I'm having a break after getting into the bad habit of drinking wine every evening. Most people assume I mean one glass of wine, not the whole bottle

Another AFD for me yesterday please Fay. Wow I'm a quarter through my target already! Just hope this resolve holds up - must keep reminding myself why I'm doing this and what I was like before. The memory of it is fading already and that's the danger point, when I think oh I wasn't really that bad was I? Oh yes I was
Hope you all have a good Tuesday whatever you have planned.
