in Cutting tax
Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me. I hope to give up my present job onshore in the next 6 months, and start working offshore. I expect to work mainly for agencies, and was wondering whether to become self employed or to set up a limited company. What are the advantages and drawbacks of both? Are there any guides available where I can get further advice, as I would like to get this decision right? I have also been told, that if I work mainly on ships, I can claim to be a seafarer and avoid paying tax if certain conditions are met. Is anyone able to advise me on this. Thanks
