debt managent plans can anyone advise

I am in debt of £47,000 and am considering a DMP I know I can contact CCCS but wondered if anyone has one and if they completely stuff your credit worthiness and are they straight forward or is it difficult to sort

    Alot of people have a DMP, yes it will affect your credit worthiness, but as you will not be taking out any more credit whilst on a DMP, it shouldn't matter too much. If its your mortgage your worried about, then yes it will affect the rate they will offer you, but maybe thats further down the line than tomorrow.

    I have seem numerous threads by yourself in the past few days, you were on the loans board asking about Ocean, are you no longer thinking about consolidation?

    If you post an SOA (a list of incomings and outgoings) we will see if we can reduce your monthly outgoings.

    CCCS are very helpful, they are also very busy with enquiries, you can also try the National Debt Line (fee free) and Payplan (fee free).

    Have you missed any payments to creditors?

    Generally it is a bad idea to convert unsecured debt to secured. Have you tried CCCS Debt remedy? What did it suggest?
