Salary in Euros via off shore account

Hi All,
It was hard to find the best place to post this but any advice would be greatly recieved.
I have been offerd a role with a Chinese Manufacturer but they insist the role will be self employed (not a problem) but payment must go into an off shore bank account paid quaterly in advance but will be in EUROS.
Is this going to be more hassel than it's worth and will I lose alot of the money in exchange rates and transfer fees and how about paying tax?
