My Mum is desperate for Sky Sports. Sky have told her that due to trees she can't get Sky. Strange, because the people who lived in my folks' place before them had sky and more trees than there are now. Anyway, what other options are there in the North West of NI? I don't watch TV or even have a TV and I hate that Murdoch fella, so I'm no use. Also, the Ma is a bit of a technophobe. I'd like to make it as easy for her as possible.

Trees can block Sky reception if they are close by, in 'line of sight' of the satellite.

It might only be a few offending branches/foliage than need to be cut off?

virgin media can offer sky sport in their tv package (need to add sport package to basic)

check area coverage on their website by entering ur postcode


now u wont be abel to get the sky sport interaction channel (red button) on virgin...but this could change in the near future as i read they are in negotations

My Sky dish points right into the middle of a forest and i get a perfect picture with 100% signal
