Is this on a Interim Mainteance Assessment or was it your deduction rate at the time?
If you have not worked in the last 5 years, prove it and they can only deduct £5 a week from that time0 -

I'm afraid it is right. The CSA do not have psychic powers, and cannot know if you have had a change in your circumstances unless you tell them. If you don't tell them until years later, you cannot ask them to backdate the change.0 -
CSA is paid on percentage of wages, how on earth can they ask for money over and above what the NRP can prove they have earned?
Because the legislation states that the onus is on the NRP to report a relevant change in their circumstances - if they don't, then the CSA cannot change the assessment retrospectively.0 -
Apparantley they can make a retrospective assessment. We have been given over a year worth of arrears because the pwc failed to inform them of the oldest child no longer being eligable, they have now gone back to that date (even though it was not requested for at the time by either pwc or nrp) and recalculated and whacked us with a huge arrears bill, which of course has to be paid within their two year frame.
P.S still paying for one other thats why still paying just in case any confusion as to why it wasn't just cancelled:rolleyes:
also after doing LOTS AND LOTS of reading and research, have found out why they prob put on a deo even though we were paying the agreed amount and never missed. I think this may have to do with arrears that they wanted (which we were paying at agreed and reasonable amount anyway) but they dated back to 98-99, not that we agreed with them then and know it was wrong but was younger and didn't know how to stand our corner (but not going to let it happen again, we have just paid all arrears off and oh what a suprise within a matter of weeks we are back in arrears. It is as if you have to be in arrears with them, trying to get as much out of us as the youngest will no longer be entitled next year either yippeeeeeee
Have requested data files, should make for interesting reading for both us and our MP0
