Did anyone else see Martin Lewis on Who Want to be a Millionaire last night?
one of the questions he was unsure of but convinced Angela Rippon to select one of the answers based on the fact that there was a 1 in 4 chance of getting it right and that the amount that they'd win was 4 fold what would be lost...or something like that!
It made me chuckle that he did this considering the nature of this board (Gambling Introductory Offer Loopholes).
btw, i'm not being anti-ML here! :money:

Martin actually said the odds were 4/1 which is incorrect. 1 in 4 or 3/1 is correct. He did as you say make other incorrect comments when that question came up. I think Martin got a little excited (shock horror) at that point at lost his train of thought. Apart from that, kudos to celebs who give up their time for charity.
I was trying to say the amount you win is four times what you lose so its good odds - but in the heat of the moment muddled it. Though as you can see from my blog http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1950495 actually that answer wasn't a gamble Angela knew the answer but you didnt see that due to the edit so what i was saying was slightly out of context. All good fun though.
