L'oreal's new Roll on foundation...hilarious!!!

Has anyone seen the L'oreal ads for their new True Match Roll on foundation....it cracked me up....its a creme foundation that comes with a decorators style roller so you can plaster it all over your face!!
http://www.boots.com/en/LOreal-Paris-True-Match-Rollon-Foundation_984362/
Heres the ad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BL0FEkvTJJo
How on Earth would you get it round your nose and eyes...jam the corners of the roller into your eye sockets?!!! It just sounds so gimmicky to me...like a desperate attempt to bring out something different and 'innovative'. You would be using your fingers/a brush for the majority of your face to blend etc which would render the roller a bit redundant?
Anyway, not one to knock a product before I've tried it (even if it does look completely daft) Has anyone tried this yet...is the foundation actually any good?
It's quite pricey at nearly 13 quid for a drugstore foundation. Would it be worth buying just for the product and not for the stupid rollery thing?

I saw this is superdrug yesterday and spent a good ten minutes trying to work it out.0

I first saw it on that ad with Eva....my boyfriend was baffled...he asked why any women would want to apply their make-up like a painter and decorator! Hahaha!"You dont need a weather man to know which way the wind blows"0

That was my thought too! It might or might not be a good foundation, but I'd rather spend that kind of money on one I know suits my skin, and not buy it for the gimmick factor (as I am sometimes prone to do
) 0 -
I know....i spent a good half hour in boots trying to decide whether to give in and try a 'vibrating' mascara!! I didn't in the end...but i am still mulling over it!! I suppose i'm a bit scared of putting something that vibrates near my eye!"You dont need a weather man to know which way the wind blows"0

I've had that debate over the vibrating mascara too,
it got settled when I got the latest Rimmel one free in the post
(until that runs out then I'll be back to the vibrate debate...though I expect they'll have self applying soon!)0 -
That would be good....self applying mascara!! I want to invent a kind of magic make-up box machine thing, that you just put your face into and a minute late you pull your face back out with full, perfectly applied make-up (you can vary the style for they occasion of course, smokey for night time etc). I have a feeling this is a bit far of in development terms....but i still live in hope. Please god!!!"You dont need a weather man to know which way the wind blows"0

This thread reminds me of the comments my OH made when I said I was going to buy some primer for my skin, loads of decorating jokes:rolleyes:
Try lash extensions from superdrug etc once you've got the hang of them you just leave them in till they come out themselves or you get fed up I get a week or 10 days from mine, no mascara needed just gorgeous lashes day and night:)That would be good....self applying mascara!!Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -
My ex bf made a lot of comments about face primer too

Ohhhhhhhhh how do they work then...do you put them in like falsies? Always had a hard time getting the hang of them. Maybe be worth the effort for something that lasts for 10 days!"You dont need a weather man to know which way the wind blows"0 -
Yes, I love them but can get fed up so have a couple of days break and cant wait to get them back on, it really is trial and error and finding a system that works for you but a whole pack that cost around six or seven quid lasts me about 8 weeks. I did something else the other day as well I have the eyelure false lashes from Cheryl Cole I only like falsies on the outer corner of my eyes so I cut each lash in half and popped them on the outer corners I am very very pleased with the results and so far have had them in for 4 days and they aint moving:rotfl:these are designed to be resused to when the come off I shall use them again so thats two sets of corners falsies for under a fiver:T
Sorry, just realised I didnt really answer your question:oYou put the extensions on individually with a different type of glue to false lashes, dont get the glues mixed up cos they ruin the lashes, they say to use tweezers but I dont, you just dip each extension in the glue and kind of drop it on to your lashes when the glue is tacky not wet and they sit there - hopefully;) - hthThank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0
