I might be the person who mentioned Asda - ours has great whoopsies/yellow stickers after about 6.00pm.
eg - I spent £1 on bread the other evening - 2 granary tin loaves (14p each), 2 packs of 2 chapatis (11p each), pack of 24 in-store bakery barm cakes (25p) plus a 50:50 loaf and an in-store bakery white tin sliced (can't remember the prices for the last two).
- four deli-counter curries (48p each) - there were loads of these but only found four that we liked
- 8ozs wiltshire ham (45p)
- 3packs runner beans ([STRIKE]75p[/STRIKE] each - 25p each)
- parsnips reduced to 1/3 of the price
- but if your nearest supermarket is 5miles away - I wouldn't be bothering to make a special trip as it might not be worth your while.0 -
One of my friends used formula and I remember her saying that she could buy it cheaply at the local baby clinic. I never saw any at the one I used to go to so maybe it is only in certain areas. Might be worth asking the health visitor?
Doubt you can do this now, as they don't want to be seen to be condoning bottle feeding. Unfortunately, if you are using formula you are stuck with the supermarkets/chemists. I used it for both of mine, and it isn't cheap.0 -

It is against the law to sell reduced formula so you're stuck with the price I am afraid.
Second time round I was lucky as DD was lactose intolerant so I had the special stuff on prescription. Good job because the lactose free is the same price as normal formula only half the weight eek!!! Would have cost me a fortune. Now she just costs me a small fortune in lactose free cheeseI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
