need to rant

well I have been doing so well since joining here, paid off my computer and sofa, transfered c/card debt onto a 0% one and generally sorted out my life 'old style'. I hit target for the first quarter this year so was due a big bonus which I was going to pay off my final debt ( well apart from the 0% card ), a bank loan with. I even added it to my goals for this week and was looking forward to paying it off. I found out today via the grapevine that we are not going to get our bonus for another month due to a problem with the figures and they way that they were reported. I am so mad that they havent even had the guts to tell us - the management are a complete bunch of spineless bankers. I suppose I am ok, I can pay off my loan next month and I have money to live on because of OS budgeting but one of my collegues is also a single parent and she really struggles and has written out cheques on the strength of the bonus coming in  . I feel so sorry for her but also mad myself too - why they keep on pooping on us like this is beyond me, is it some sort of reverse psycology. Treat em like poop and they will work more ????? This is not the first time they have done this to us - it happened last quarter and I ended up threatening interest charges if they didnt pay up.
Sorry for the rant - glad to get that off my chest.......might sleep better now

  • Hey oops,

That's really rubbish - I guess you can only take comfort in the fact that you haven't written cheques etc too?

Sorry for you - but it will be nice when it comes!

I phoned my boss this morning ( I work from home which is probably a good thing because if I worked at head office I would probably have been sacked by now LOL ) anyway I had a good old rant at him and he is going to look into us all getting our bonus payments by cheque before next pay day - 2 other collegues are going into human resources this morning to make a complaint. It just makes me so cross when you are trying your best to work to a budget and planning every penny to pay off debts something like this happens  as I said before at least I am not in as bad a situation as my friend - she wrote out a £500.00 cheque and doesnt have a c/card or overdraft because of money problems in the past - I dont know what she is going to do ( and yes I do keep trying to get her to come on here ). Hopefully we will find out more by the end of today.
On the plus side it means I can hang around here for another month :rotfl: . Oh and BTW Halloween Queen (Love that name - we are halloween mad in this house) finders keepers was a thread on here started off a while ago but must admit I havent done much since the first week. It is yet another money collection but this time it is any money you find on the floor - ie, find a penny pick it up and all day long you'll have good luck. On the first day we started it I found a Tenner :T yes a tenner on the floor ( and yes I did look around to see if anybody had dropped it ) we also found a pound on our driveway ( which was probably mine anyway ) and have found a few coppers. I really must start looking down while I am walking around as we are saving it all in a seperate money box - not sure what we are saving it for but a trip to bowling or cinema would be nice in the summer hols.
