Two weeks left apparently for an £8 bin - some local authorities are free afaik but not sure which ones.

Waitrose had a special offer on grapes in punnets that worked out cheaper than buying them loose in bags.

A question which has long puzzled me: Why do grapes come in a plastic bag with a b****y zip fastener on them ?

I have sometimes deposited excess packing at the till. If we all did it they'd have to stop foisting it on us. I'm sick of plastic waste. I do try to avoid it, but what used to come in paper, wax paper or card is now plastic.

I reuse most of my jam jars & wine bottles - make my own. I do cut plastic bottles down for plant pots, cuttings & use some of the plastic cartons for seedlings, but there's mountains of plastic waste. And we don't have re-cycling facilities for that here, even 30 odd miles away at the nearest town there's no re-cycling for plastic. I actually don't think it's a green process, better to avoid it, but it's getting harder with plastic.

    Sorry for the rant.
