A Question

Hello all, I have a question. I am in receipt of CSA payments from my ex husband, he managed not to tell the CSA that his wages had increased for years and when they finally caught up with his he was rather gutted to say the least.

Anyway my question is - my kids have just told me that he and his girlfriend are moving in together. As far as I was aware if this happens then don't the CSA take her wages into account too and therefore the amount that I am receiving should increase slightly?

TIA

In order for people to give you a better answer, what system are you on? CSA1 or CSA2? If you don't know then when did you first contact the CSA, was it before 2003 and can you remeber if your case has been switched over at all?

Her wages will not be taken into consideration at all if he's on CS2.
On CS1, her wages will not be taken into consideration in the initial assessment, but they will be taken into account to make sure the NRP & his family have enough protected income after his assessment to live on.
So, you shouldn't receive any increase as long as his wages will cover the protected income amount.

Unless you apply for a departure direction to she if she can pay towards the actual housing costs.
  • Are you being serious:confused: you actually want some of her salary towards your kids??
If he was paying you less because of having to provide for her kids etc then I would understand but to blatently want her money that is greed:mad:
