walkers crisps, great offer at asda

Hi

did normal weekly shop at asda today and noticed that the 26 pack of walkers crisps are on rollback to 1.74 from 2.74 so i got 2 packs
on checking my receipt i noticed that a multibuy had also been applied taking 1.68 off the 2 packs making it 1.80 for two 26 packs making them only 90p per pack!!

dont know if its nationwide but worth a check

I was in ASDA yesterday and, although I didn't buy any, I did see them on offer at BUY 2 for £3.80 (so £1.90 a bag)

I'm almost positive the single price on the SEL was £2.74

Using your multibuy extra discount of £1.68 would make sense.

2 x £2.74 = £5.48

£5.48 - £1.68 = £3.80

I presume the "roll back" price of £1.74 should have expired when this "new" offer came into force.
I'll be down there in the morning to try my luck !!

In the Pudsey Branch it actually says 2 for £1.80 on a big placard over the crisps.

So I bought 6.

hI, i went to asda today and bought 2 26 bag multipacks,they were displayed as £1.74 per pack but at the till 48p was deducted as a multibuy promo.so they ended up £1.50 each.
I was hoping to get the good deal the rest of you got ,so maybe they have wised up?
btw this was the minworth asda.

Yes I wished I'd nipped to my local ASDA last night.
Went this morning and they had changed the multibuy offer banner to 2 for £3
(individually £1.74)

On Sunday it was 2 for £3.80 (on the premise that they were £2.74 each)
This £3.80 deal was on the website at 23:00 last night - had an expiry of 12/05/06

The new £3 deal says "until 31/05/06" but I suppose it could be withdrawn beforehand.

Wished I'd gone last night .......
