Like any healing profession - the company is neither here nor there.

The thing that matters is the individual standing above you cracking your bones about.

Companies offering healthcare services do so to make a buck. Like all copanies, they will need staff, and the bigger the company, the bigger the staff problems, so the more likely they are to take on anybody who's available.

Your best bet with any healthcare service is a named individual who owns a stake in the business he/she's running.

    Get recommendations for individuals.

Occasionally, you may well get a good individual working within a company, but it's generally just to earn the money to get their own practice up and running.
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.

Thanks Toothsmith, I had not thought of it like this if I'm honest. I did ask someone who has a bad back and they goes to SOS Clinic. Might do some more research.

I have heard that going to the Dr doesn't really help as you're on waiting lists for such a long time...

You can pursue more than one avenue at a time.

The first question is what is wrong with your relatives back? Has is been looked into by their GP?

The thing to do then, is to try and find out the person they saw - and track him/her down. If they're still working there, then go for it.

    mr_rush,
    - they hurt it lifting something and it's been been quite painful since. They had buzzing in their ears and the specialist in Windsor has said that this can be related to the nerve system however when they went to see the Dr they were quite dismissive of the buzzing
