tiding graves

does anyone know anyone who tidies graves in Fermanagh area

    I don't know about there, but here i think for a small fee paid to the council, Steve the nice council cemetery man will look after them. Maybe it is the same where you are.
    Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession :o:o

    Local 'do gooders' tidy the churchyard for nothing!
    Churches have no funds to pay gardeners.

    Some Churches do employ caretakers who also keep the graveyards tidy. Certainly this is the case where a number of my relatives are buried. If it is a Council one they do it automatically.

    Perhaps a phone call to the Minister of the Church would assist you.

    Someone who tends a grave nearby might do it for a small fee, failing that you might have to employ a local gardener.
  • Most of the churches in Fermanagh area have a groundsperson to look after the graveyard - mow the grass etc - but the removal of flowers and wreaths are usually left up to the family.

    As suggested previously your best bet would be to get in touch with the Church Warden or speak to the minister and they will let you know of the protaocal for your particular Church. Sorry i can't be of more help.
