Jury Service

hi, my husband was sent a letter about 6 weeks ago for jury service at birmingham crown, due to start end of this month. But he has received a call from them today saying he is no longer needed and will be recalled in march next year, they said they had too many jurors.

Birmingham Crown Court have their own cafe, where you can use a "smartcard" loaded with £5.55 per day for meals etc, if you dont use all of the £5.55 each day you will be credited it after your jury service, otherwise you can buy your own lunches and recieve all your allowance at the end of service with your travel expenses and any loss of earnings. There are lots of cafes etc very close to that building, so you will have lots of choice

I have Jury duty in a few weeks at Sutton Coldfield Coroners Court
I'm looking forward to it too, although I know they'll be alot of waiting around etc..
Anyone know any info about food allowance/ cafe at Sutton Coldfield Coroners Court??
