we have been told we have to pay for my partners son, which rightly we should, although my partner doesnt see him!! the prob we have is the arrears that have ammounted(through no fault of our own).they are dictating to us how we will pay the arrears, which will leave my partner,me an my 3 children without.what i want to know is have they got the right to do that?or can we say, this is what we can afford to pay each month off the arrears?
like many on here we have had conflicting advice and evidence from others having trouble with the csa
many thanks in advance

Contact Nacsa they will be your best chance of coming to an amicable agreement. They do ask for a donation but are worth their weight in gold!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

The CSA are currently internally aiming to have all arrears paid off within 2 years, so suppose you can look at your arrears and divide by 24, and this is the figure they will be looking at each month. BUT they cannot take more than 40% of NRP pay, or others will advise better , but I think it may be more if arrears involved.
If you cannot pay within the 2 years, the CSA will get a LO, then proceed with CCJ, bailiffs etc, so please be prepared for this, and arm yourselves with all of the knowledge you need to fight them. No matter what you can or cannot afford the CSA are not known for their negotiation on arrears, they simply won't be interested in having enough income to provide for the 2nd family, prepare yourself please.0 -
