Reusing an open return that's gone through the barriers...

Does anyone know if a ticket can tell if it has already been through the barrier before? I want to reuse an open return, but dont want to get in trouble and fined if it doesn't go through the barrier.

Any advice would be really appreciated.
Thanks

Yes they can, allthough i suppose you could get round this by just showing the person manning the barriers. However if he/she cotton's on that you've already used it then expect to get fined. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.
