I think the only way is if the PWC closes the case, then waits 13 weeks and re-opens it.

  • i thought that - cheers
  • Some on this forum have previously suggested that if you're on the old CS1 rules, you may never join the new system. You may stay on CS1 until your case runs it's course. Not sure if that is or ever was official CSA policy or just comments coming from people who use the CSA & know how efficient they are!!!!!!!

  • I'm on old rules, with a case that's been ongoing for 11+ years, still no joy.

Are there benefits to going on to new rules?

I held off on doing this as we recently thought it was getting somewhere and I didn't want to interrupt the process - but the trail appears to have gone cold, so I have nothing to lose by closing for 13 weeks as I am not likely to get anything anyway.

But is it worth changing to new rules, how will it help?
  • hi, i'm new to this forum but I have some CSA experience as an NRPP for 13 years. We recently had a reassessment ordered by PWC and it went up enormously. We now pay £632 a month with £100 arrears on top until next April. We got our MP involved because we know that we would pay around £350 under the current system and wanted to know why the CSA have been dragging a*se over migrating old cases to new. The reply she (MP) got was that the current system is "unstable" therefore we can't be moved. Funny thing is, if I left my husband tomorrow & went to the CSA, guess which system they would have to reassess him on?
