Black electric hobs - how to get back to as new

Hi

i watched kim and aggy this arvo and they took a cooker like mine that was in a really sorry state and by the end it looked good as new - now my cooker is clean but they seems to completly refurbish them they are they raise black ones (not ceramic) any ideas how they do it? I've tried their webpage but no joy...
